Meet the Team

Directors of Camp

Mike Jacobs, Director of Auxiliary Programs

Mike Jacobs is the Director of Auxiliary Programs and has been at Saint Andrew’s School since 1994. He has been involved in camps for over 50 years. First as a camper, CIT, counselor, and later as director. He believes the best memories happen in a camp setting. While not in camp Mike enjoys rooting for his beloved Yankees and Buffalo Bills!  Also, spending time with his wife and two daughters who were campers, and now his older daughter is a counselor and younger is a Counselor In Training. Nothing makes Mike prouder than passing his love of camp to his children.

Martina Newman, Assistant Director of Auxiliary Programs

Martina Newman is the Assistant Director of Auxiliary Programs and has been with Saint Andrew’s School since 2016. She studied at Boston College where she received her BS in Marketing. Martina is passionate about making an impact on the lives of young children and providing a safe environment for them to try new things, learn new skills and the freedom to be kids. When Martina is not working, she loves traveling, catching a good movie and rooting for her favorite attackman and goalie alongside her husband on the lacrosse field. Fun Fact: Martina’s nickname is Martie and she spent her summers as a child with her grandparents in Italy.

Eddie Dowdell, Auxiliary Programs Coordinator

Eddie joined Saint Andrew’s Auxiliary programs recently after 10+ years of youth soccer instruction throughout South Florida.  Keeping with his passion in fitness, exercise, and youth development, Eddie continues to coach baseball, soccer, and basketball in his spare time.  Off the sports fields you will find him rooting on his favorite team, The Philadelphia Eagles, alongside his wife and son.  Eddie loves summer camp at Saint Andrews and assisting the campers create lifelong memories and friendships.
